Empowering students for a brighter future.
Supporting education and innovation.
Enrollment starts soon for the 2026-2027 school year!
Our Mission
The mission of Coastal Preparatory Academy is to provide the social, emotional, and academic support needed to re-engage, support, and empower at-risk students with their education and provide them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to achieve a South Carolina high school diploma and succeed in their post graduation endeavors.
Individualized Curriculum
When students enroll at CPA, our licensed school counselors will review students’ academic transcripts and meet with students and parents. In this meeting, students will discuss their personal aspirations and goals. Based on these goals, counselors will work with CPA staff to create a Personal Success Plan (PSP) for each student. This plan will include course planning, schedule creation, instructional methods, career goals, upcoming learning opportunities, and more.
Hybrid Learning
Here at CPA, students can participate in in-person learning, virtual learning, or both! CPA believes that every student deserves to learn in an environment that is conducive to their own success. CPA staff will work collaboratively with students and families to create class schedules that meet their unique learning styles and needs.
Student Supports
CPA offers a multi-level system of supports for every student. In addition to academics, CPA also prioritizes social, emotional, and behavioral learning and wellness. Students are able to meet individually with school counselors, teachers, and student success advisors.
Community Partnerships
The Emergince Foundation seeks to create opportunities for young people, particularly at-risk youth, to enter the STEM fields and make gaining experience in technologies more accessible for all.
Restorative Practices, when broadly and consistently implemented, will promote and strengthen positive culture and enhance pro-social relationships within the community.
